ELAA can provide employers assistance with the following.
Classifying employees under the VECTEA 2020 (work history)
ELAA can provide employers assistance with classifying an early childhood teacher’s pay level based on their teaching experience (work history) under the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA).
Please submit one form per employee and include as much relevant information as practicable.
Please allow up to five (5) business days for a completed calculation from our Member Solutions Advisors.

Additional information for employers submitting Work History Classification calculations:
- Employer guide; How to classify your certificate III and diploma educators under the VECTEA
- Fillable PDF work history information form for VECTEA employees (to use in the employee onboarding process, in conjunction with ELAA’s online work history calculation request form).
- Please ensure that as the employer checks through the form and enters the information into the work history form via the link above.
- This form can be tailored to meet your service’s requirements.
- ELAA will not accept any PDF forms.
Calculating pro-rata annual leave and leave loading (VECTEA employees)

Calculating long service leave entitlements (all employees)

Calculating long service leave under the Portable Long Service Leave scheme
ELAA has developed a calculator for ELAA members to assist in the calculation of employee long service leave under the Portable Long Service Leave scheme.
The Portable Long Service Leave Authority requires employers under the scheme to complete a quarterly return in January, April, July and October each year.
The calculator can be used to assist in the calculation of the hours an employee worked, ordinary pay they received and any long service leave they took under another arrangement.
The calculator contains instructions, important information, a summary worksheet, 20 individual employee worksheets and an employee summary sheet that is based on the Authority’s upload template.
