Thank you to all ELAA members who completed the second Pulse Check survey of the year. These surveys help our advocacy team track progress, set goals, and identify recurring themes among members.
The survey received 82 responses, rich in detail which provided insights into the concerns and positive developments within our membership.
Key findings:
- workforce conditions: members reported that workforce conditions are a greater concern than staffing shortages. Strategies most implemented to address staff wellbeing include external professional development sessions (PDs), online resources, and team building/wellbeing workshops.
- inclusion support: inclusion support for children with additional needs was the issue of greatest concern, prompting regular service responses. This concern has persisted since Term 1’s Pulse Check. Workforce conditions, staff shortages, and financial viability were the next highest-ranked issues.
