ELAA is excited to kick off discussions for Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement (VECTEA) 2024. We were pleased to join the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) and the Department of Education (Vic) for early discussions to prepare for the re-negotiation of the Agreement last week.
As the employer representative and peak body, ELAA will represent our members in re-negotiating this Victorian early childhood education benchmark agreement.
With 385 early childhood education and care employers having completed their VECTEA authorisations so far, ELAA is in a clear position to continue in its objective of promoting excellence and equity in Early Childhood Education and Care through leading salaries and conditions for our teachers and educators. We would like to thank and recognise the timely responses of our members in completing their authorisations to date.
Members are reminded that during the negotiations, the VECTEA 2020 and its updated wages will remain operational until the new agreement is approved. Members are encouraged to regularly review our ELAA Wage Bulletins and ELAAvate for essential updates and documentation.
