Early Learning Association of Australia (ELAA) welcomes today’s announcement by the Victorian Chief Health Officer that vaccination against COVID-19 will be a requirement for Victoria’s Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) workforce.
“Today’s announcement gives reassurance to Victoria’s early childhood workers and families with children attending Early Childhood Education and Care services that they will be protected against the most serious effects of COVID-19, ” said ELAA CEO, David Worland.

Early Learning Association of Australia (ELAA) is urging the Victorian Chief Health Officer to introduce mandatory vaccination of the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) workforce.
“Our workforce cannot effectively distance from staff, parents and children. Our staff risk exposure as COVID-19 continues to impact the community and we see increased closure of Early Childhood Education and Care services,” said ELAA CEO, David Worland.
